The Pilates Notebook™ For Instructors
 
Most instructors keep their teaching in three places at once: a phone, a loose notebook and their memory. The Pilates Notebook puts it in one. It starts with thirty numbered class plans. Each has room for 18 exercises across warm-up, main section and cool-down, with columns for springs, props and reps, space to note when you taught it, and a facing page for cues, transitions and modifications. An index at the front lets you find a plan again by name or focus.
 
After the plans come pages for the rest of the job: client set-ups (initials only, no health details, with space for what to pick up next session), teaching reflections, a log for workshops and professional development, workshop notes and studio ideas. At the back are lined and dot-grid pages, a list of the studios you teach at and a page for your usual spring settings.
 
It's undated, so you can start it in December or March. The Wire-O binding lets it open flat on a Reformer box or the studio bench.
 
The Pilates Notebook™ Studio Planner
 
Opening a Pilates studio means hundreds of decisions: the site, the lease, the budget, the room, the equipment, the team and the timetable. Most of them are made across emails, spreadsheets and conversations, and the reasons are hard to find again later.
 
The Studio Planner keeps that work in one book. It is organised in the order many owners meet each stage, and every page asks a question and leaves room for the answer. You work out your own start-up budget, running costs and break-even point. You compare sites against the same checks, take a list of questions to the landlord, plan the room around the equipment and record what arrives on delivery day.
 
It is written by HF Industries, which supplies commercial Pilates equipment to studios across Australia. That is why the room and the equipment are part of the plan from the start, not an afterthought, and why the Equipment received page follows the same columns as The Pilates Notebook Equipment Care Log.
 
The Planner does not tell you what the law, your council or the tax rules require. Those answers depend on your site and change over time. Instead it asks the question, gives you a place to record what you found, who you checked it with and when, and keeps your decisions together. On paper, on purpose: a book you can bring to every meeting, with each answer written down beside where it came from.
 
The Pilates Notebook™ Equipment Care Log
 
A studio's equipment is its largest investment and the thing every class depends on. Yet the record of it is often scattered: an invoice in one inbox, a service report in another, a note on the front desk about the Reformer in room two.
 
The Equipment Care Log brings that record together. Each machine is given a name the whole team uses, written beside its serial number, and both follow it through every page. You record your studio's own check routine and where it came from, then initial each check as it is done. Service visits, repairs, springs fitted and replaced, parts on order and machines taken out of service each have their own section, and the year in review shows each machine's year at a glance.
 
Most equipment logs are made by a manufacturer for its own machines. The Care Log is made for the whole studio, whatever brand each machine is. It is written by HF Industries, which supplies commercial Pilates equipment to studios across Australia and services the equipment it sells,, and it is laid out around the questions a service technician asks: which machine, which serial number, what was noticed and when.
 
The Care Log records; it does not advise. Your studio sets its own routine, guided by the manufacturer's instructions and your service provider, and the Care Log keeps the history of it.
